Barry Bond - Senior Partner

Barry Bond is the Senior Partner of Jarmans Solicitors and heads our Litigation and Commercial Department. He practised in London at Sebastian Coleman, Manches and trained at Maxwell Batley, qualifying in 1979 after taking a degree at Birmingham University.

He is a founder member of the Firm and his areas of practice include commercial work, employment law and commercial litigation including international and national casework (with cases reported in the Law Reports, House of Lords and Court of Appeal). His practice of the law and clients have taken him to Europe, the USA, South America, Hong Kong, Japan and New Zealand. He has a wide range of experience.

Kerry is Barry's personal assistant of long-standing and suffering!

Bryan Slater - Partner

Bryan Slater qualified in 1971 after taking his degree at Cambridge and joined our Commercial Department in 2000 following the death of one of the Practice founder partners Jeremy Jarman. Bryan became a partner in the firm shortly after, bringing his extensive experience and knowledge of commercial and residential property development with him. He presently deals with Commercial work with Barry Bond and heads the Commercial Property Team and is assisted in the department by Sally

He is a member of Sittingbourne Town Centre Forum and an active School Governor, giving him a finger on the pulse of local issues.

Sarah Cladingboel - Partner

Sarah Cladingboel qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and spent four years working in North Kent, before joining the Jarmans team in 2004 to expand the Private Client Department. Sarah became a partner in 2008.

Dealing exclusively with Private Client matters (Probate, Wills, Trusts and Powers of Attorney) she has a sympathetic and practical approach and works closely with her colleague June Yates.

June Yates - Legal Executive

June Yates spent a number of years in a supporting role at Jarmans Solicitors and its predecessor Firm, Winch Greensted & Winch before qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1995 and developing her own extensive practice here.

She deals exclusively with Wills, Probate, Trusts and Powers of Attorney and has a great deal of experience in this field. She is an active Rotarian and is, as a result, well connected with the local community.

June and Sarah are assisted by Sharon and Amy (our trainee Legal Executive).

Richard Cable - Legal Executive

Richard Cable has worked in the law for nearly forty years, thirty of which for Solicitors in Private Practice, and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1999. He has worked mainly in Kent, where he was born. He is a very experienced family lawyer with a sympathetic and practical manner.

Richard has dealt exclusively with Matrimonial and Family Law matters for many years, although he has a background in other areas of Law.

Richard is an "all issues" (children and financial) Family Mediator and is a full member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) with whom he trained as a mediator, and is also a member of the Law Society Family Panel.

Richard is ably assisted by Gill and Catherine.

Dean Thistle - Solicitor Advocate

Dean Thistle took his degree in Wolverhampton and has been with the Firm since 2005, undertaking his training as a Solicitor and qualifying in 2007. In 2008 he became the youngest Solicitor Advocate in the UK giving him the right to deal with litigation matters in the High Court. He now practices in Civil Litigation and is building an advocacy practice.

Christine Alloway - Conveyancing Executive

Christine Alloway has been working successfully in this field for 35 years and joined our busy Residential Conveyancing Department in 2007.

Popular with her clients, she guides them through what is said to be one of the most traumatic experiences in life - buying a home. She also, of course, handles property sales, transfers between individuals and other private property matters.

She is assisted in her work by Lorraine. 

David Newing and Linda Horne - Accounts

Joyce Walsh - Receptionist

Last but not least, our receptionist, and the first person to greet you as you come into the office.
