Wills and Probate
Making your Will
Wills are about choice. A Will is the most certain way of making sure your wishes are carried out.
Things to consider:
- who you would want to deal with your estate and make sure that your wishes are carried out
- what gifts of personal items you would like to make
- who you wish to benefit - or wish not to benefit
- who will look after your young children
- at what age young persons will receive their inheritance
- ensuring that someone sharing your home has protection
- protection of assets
Everyone's circumstances are different. No matter how difficult you think yours are, Jarmans is here to help. We can discuss your individual requirements at a face to face meeting either in the office or at your home if that is needeed.
At our initial meeting we will confirm the likely costs so you will know exactly what you will have to spend.
A fact sheet is available on request.
Probate
The word "probate" is used to describe the process of administering an estate after a death, whether or not there is a Will. An application to the Court will sometimes be needed.
We are happy to meet with you for a free short initial discussion regarding an estate. At that meeting we will
- outline all your options, and
- give a clear indication of the costs of each option so that you can consider the best way forward.
