As solicitors we spend a lot of our time advising our clients not to panic. Keep calm and carry on is pretty much our mantra and that is exactly what we plan to keep on doing during the current Covid-19 crisis. Jarmans Solicitors will be remaining open and providing legal advice for as long as the government allows us to.
We understand that many individuals and businesses within our community are going to be confused and worried about what may happen over the coming months and may be need our services, so we think it’s important to let you know exactly how we plan to provide legal advice and representation while ensuring that you are as safe from potential infection as possible.
Jarmans Solicitors have an entire floor of separate offices which we will be using for meetings. This allows you to have the personal space that you need and also reduces the risk of infection. We have an excellent cleaning schedule, which means that our offices are always spotless, and all of our team and our visitors are following all medical advice in relation to hand gels, cleaning, and hand washing.
Should you decide that you don’t want to visit our office, whether that is through self-isolation or any other reason, we can speak to you over the phone or on video calls.
Usually a face to face meeting is required when taking instructions for both Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. We are sure you can understand the need for us to verify your identity and proceed with caution. Considering the severity of the situation, we are going to slightly relax our approach and will continue to offer these appointments via video calls where clients are unable to attend the offices. We will then be sending the finalised documents out in the post with instructions on how to sign and properly witness the same as well as offering a further video call to ensure the documents are executed correctly.
Keep checking back to our website and social media for our latest news and updates as we are also planning to launch a free business advice clinic so we can support the community that supports us.
