If there’s one thing that the Covid-19 pandemic has shown us, it’s that poverty and homelessness are prevalent throughout our country. The campaign by Marcus Rashford MBE to provide children with free meals through the school holidays brought the story home that there are many in our society who are struggling. With that in mind, Jay Sahota has signed Jarmans Solicitors up as Official Network Club members of the Street Soccer Foundation.
The Street Soccer Foundation is a registered charity that runs an extremely successful football led project aimed at tackling youth homelessness in England. They work with a variety of Premiership and League clubs from across the country, providing a 10-week learning and development opportunity for 18-25 year olds who are homeless and out of work.
Funded by donations and membership of likeminded organisations like Jarmans, the Foundation provides the employability skills and confidence that the vulnerable and homeless young people in their care need to find work. Providing this amazing resource, gives the next generation the nurturing they need to get their foot on the first rung of a ladder that may have appeared to have been pulled away from them. Jay Sahota is extremely pleased to be able to help “I am proud to be supporting SSA as I have known Keith Mabbutt for a number of years and what he does is an inspiration”.
